Scarpetta in the Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino – Las Vegas, NV

The restaurant is located on the third level near the very intriguing chandelier bar of the Cosmopolitan which is in the middle of the casino. As you enter Scarpetta you will notice the particular care they took building the ambiance as you walk to turn the corner of the restaurant. Make sure to take in the intricate details from the lights over the bar to the big inverted drum like light fixtures in the main dining area. As your eyes embrace the ambiance you start taking in aromas from the kitchen which lead to an instant state of culinary euphoria as you realize you are about to embark in a culinary experience.

I am telling you this right now from the staff, ambiance and food Scarpetta has put its footprint into the Las Vegas dining scene as one of the best all around dining experiences. Bravo to Chef Scott Conant and staff on brining it all together!

Highlights:

  • The tasting menu is absolutely a fantastic way to sample chef’s best dishes
  • Scallops, Scallops, Scallops I stress this as this may be hands down one of the best scallop dishes I have ever had. Whatever Chef Conant does in his preparation brought a smile to my face on each and every bite.

  • Chef’s signature spaghetti is a not miss item on the menu – simple but definitely irresistible.
  • The Pastry Chef makes the ending of your meal into a tail of treats you will dream about all night into the next morning!

  • Kelli Binette who is the nice young lady who makes sure this well oiled machine provides you with the best experience possible as I give two thumbs up to Chef Conant for hiring this industry veteran away from the Wynn. Kelli truly does “whatever it takes” to make sure you’re smiling, having fun and all around just enjoying Scarpetta. Kelli has set the bar for dining experience that all hospitality folks should strive to achieve.

Insider Tip:

  • Make an earlier reservation and request a window table to take in the famed Bellagio Fountains which make for even more ambiance for the evening.

  • Ask for a tour around the restaurant if you’re early enough in order to see the Chef’s table which has a direct view into the happenings of the kitchen.
